Staff each service for the covers you expect.

Luma learns how busy each hour is from your till, adds the bookings you already have and suggests how many people each service needs next week. Then it shows where your rota sits over or under that guide.

Front of house hours next weekSample data

12 hours over the guide on Monday, Tuesday and Sunday; 4 under on Friday and Saturday.

The problem

Rotas are often written from memory.

Most rotas copy last week and hope. Too many people on a quiet Tuesday costs money; too few on a busy Saturday costs service. Labour is one of a kitchen's biggest costs, yet it's rarely checked against what the till shows.

How TABLEVA helps

  • Fewer quiet hours paid for

See where the rota runs over what your till and bookings suggest, day by day and role by role.

  • No short-staffed rushes

Hours under the guide are flagged as a service risk before the week starts, never counted as a saving.

  • Your call, always

Nothing here changes anyone's shifts. You decide what to change, in your own rota.

How the staffing guide works

Three things go in. A guide for each service comes out, and your rota is checked against it.

  1. Your till

Luma learns your busy days and hours from your till's sales, comparing the last four of the same weekday.

  2. Your bookings

Upcoming bookings show the covers already expected. Past bookings teach Luma your walk-ins.

  3. The guide

How many people breakfast, lunch, afternoon and dinner need, by role, from covers-an-hour starting points you can change. Never fewer than two on site.

  4. Your rota, compared

Add the hours you've planned by day and role. Hours over the guide show where you could trim; hours under it show a service risk.

A guide, not an instruction: check contracts, guaranteed hours and the Working Time Regulations before changing shifts.

Illustrative example

Saturday dinner, next week

66 covers expected: 40 already booked, and about 26 walk-ins learned from past Saturdays.

Covers-an-hour ratios are starting points to adjust, not industry figures.
