Know what staffing really costs.

See your labour costs alongside sales, purchasing and customer demand, without changing your payroll provider. TABLEVA reads a monthly totals summary, never staff records, and only the owner and the people they choose see it.

What September's staffing really costSample data
  • Gross wagesIncluding overtime and holiday pay£24,180
  • Employer National Insurance£2,240
  • Employer pension£725
  • Agency staff£1,350
  • Levy and other costs£405

Total employer cost, 31.2% of £92,600 sales£28,900

The problem

Wages are only part of what staffing costs.

Employer National Insurance, pension, agency staff and the apprenticeship levy all sit on top of wages. Most owners only see the full figure when the accountant's monthly numbers arrive, and by then it's hard to tell whether sales or the rota moved it.

How TABLEVA helps

  • The full employer cost

Gross wages, employer National Insurance, pension, levy and agency costs, added up once. Employee tax is already inside wages, so it's never counted twice.

  • Labour beside sales

Labour as a share of sales for every month you approve, with how much better off you are after staff costs than last month and last year, and a twelve-month trend. Months are never estimated.

  • Private, totals only

Only the owner sees these figures, unless they give their accountant or a manager access. TABLEVA never holds staff names, National Insurance numbers, tax codes or anyone's pay.

How it works

Three steps, and you approve every figure.

  1. Bring in your totals

Use your payroll provider's monthly summary or TABLEVA's totals-only template. The file is read on your device, not uploaded.

  2. Check and approve

Compare the total with your accounts, copy it into that month's draft yourself, then approve the month. Nothing is posted for you.

  3. See your labour margin

Labour sits beside sales, food cost and profit for every approved month, and Luma points out what's worth a closer look.

TABLEVA doesn't run payroll, pay staff or file PAYE with HMRC. Your payroll provider stays in charge of all of it.

Illustrative example

What Luma points out

Labour was 31.2% of sales in September, up from 28.8% in August. Sales held steady, so the rise came from staffing costs: worth checking the coming weeks' rotas against the demand forecast in Staffing.

A possible improvement to look at, not a proven saving. Luma reads approved monthly totals only, never payroll files or staff records.
